Products/tigernut derivatives
As we have already explained in a previous section, tigernuts are probably one of the most effective and suitable grains for carp fishing. In order to offer different alternatives at anglers’ disposal, we have developed some products drawn from the tigernuts to have a bigger range of possibilities in our aim to make some artificial products worldwide renowned (boilies), or just to boost the effect of the grains.
The products we put at anglers’ disposal are 3:
- Tigernut flour
- Tigernut extract
- Tigernut oil
TIGERNUT FLOUR

This exceptional product has been developed after long investigations, because is not easy to grind a product with such a high fat level while keeping its properties. This flour has become a very popular product between those anglers that look for a smooth and creamy texture in their creations, while making use of this distinctive scent that carps like so much. It could be used as base ingredient for different mixtures, because its high fat level allows to preserve the humidity of other ingredients making them to look fresh quite longer
Tigernut flour is probably the most effective way to introduce the tigernuts in zones where usually grains are not used, because it takes shorter for the carps to ingest and can be mixed with almost all the ingredients. |
TIGERNUT EXTRACT

Drawn from the tigernuts through the traditional recipe of the “horchata” or tigernut milk (typical soft drink from Valencia), it contains more than 22% natural fructose and 30% fats and glucose. It is a really sweet milk which can be used in different ways:
- Directly poured over the lake or marsh as an appealing. It creates a white cloud when it starts dissolving on the water that attracts the carps within hundreds of meters radius. It is perfect to get the carps into the zone where the hook is.
- It is perfect to use it in PVA bags, because this product does not dissolve this kind of bags, so its contact with water can be delayed and the extract will take longer to dissolve.
Specially recommended for preparing boilies, because we can reduce the amount of eggs we use, to get them with the needed consistency, due to the high glucose level of the product. |
TIGERNUT OIL

A kind of oil that contains all the qualities of the tigernuts. Its strong and intense flavour makes it to be a product with a high appealing power.
Specially recommended for preparing boilies, because it provides a big amount of the qualities of the tigernut extract but in a more intense way, because it gets not dissolved in water so gathers all its appealing power in the boilie.
Recommended dose for mixtures: 15 – 30 ml./Kg. |
