HEMP

TIGERNUTS TRADERS – Particles: Hemp

Hemp is a little black seed approximately 5 mm length. It requires a previous preparation and there are several ways to do it, depending on angler’s choice. We explain the most usual.

  • Put the hemp to soak in a shut receptacle during all the night. It is better to use cold water. The size of the hemp will increase due to the re-moisturizing, so we have to make sure that the receptacle is big enough and contains water enough.

    Recommended soaking time: 24 hours

  • Next, we add some more water (just a few) into the one left in the receptacle and then we pour it all into a pot to start the boiling process, which depends of the sort of receptacle. Make sure that the product softens but does not break.

    Recommended boiling time: 20 minutes

  • Once the hemp is settled and cooled down to room temperature, we introduce it into a hermetic receptacle where we will leave it during all the night, in order to help the germinating process while the particle fermentation begins.

GIANT MAIZE

TIGERNUTS TRADERS – Particles: Giant Maize

Just like we previously warned, it is very important to cook the grains properly before using them as a bait, because a not properly cooked grain or a raw one could be especially harmful to the carps. Maize is one of the products which requires a more rigorous preparation, but then it becomes probably one of the most effective baits. This kind of maize is not a genetically modified product, but comes from the Andin region of Peru and its size comes from 18mm up to 24mm.

  • Put the maize to soak in a shut receptacle during all the night using cool water. The size of the maize will increase due to the re-moisturizing, so we have to pour in as much water as needed to reach a level 6 or 7 centimetres over the maize level, to get the complete re-moisturizing.

    Recommended soaking time: 24 hours

  • Then, the product will be still hard, so next we have to introduce it into a pressure cooker with some water. This water has to boil vigorously at least for the 30 first minutes.

    Recommended boiling time: 40 minutes

  • Once the maize is settled and cooled down to room temperature, we introduce it into a hermetic receptacle where we will leave it during all the night, in order to help the germinating process while the particle fermentation begins. It is required approximately 48 hours to get the optimal fermentation.

BROAD BEANS

TIGERNUTS TRADERS – Particles: Broad Beans

A grain specially recommended for fishing due to its big size and to its fantastic properties very appreciated by the carps. Its size comes from 21 mm up to 26 mm.

  • Put the beans to soak in a shut receptacle during all the night using cool water. The size of the beans will increase due to the re-moisturizing, so we have to pour in as much water as needed to reach a level 6 or 7 centimetres over the beans level, to get the complete re-moisturizing.

    Recommended soaking time: 12 - 18 hours

  • Then, the product will be still hard, so next we have to introduce it into a pressure cooker with some water to boil it.

    Recommended boiling time: 30 minutes

  • Once the beans are settled and cooled down to room temperature, we introduce them into a hermetic receptacle where we will leave them during all the night, in order to help the germinating process while the particle fermentation begins. It is required approximately 48 hours to get the optimal fermentation.

CHICKPEAS

TIGERNUTS TRADERS – Particles: Chickpeas

Just like the maize, chickpea is one of the grains (not nuts) most appreciated by the anglers. It is a perfect bait with which we can start fishing from the ground up, but we have to be carefully with it because it is a grain that attracts some other fishes like tench. Its size is about 10 mm.

  • Put the chickpeas to soak in a shut receptacle during all the night. It is better to use cold water. The size of the chickpeas will increase due to the re-moisturizing, so we have to make sure that the receptacle is big enough and contains water enough.

    Recommended soaking time: 12 a 18 hours

  • Next, we add some more water (just a few) into the one left in the receptacle and then we pour it all into a pot to start the boiling process, which depends of the sort of receptacle. Make sure that the product softens but it does not break.

    Recommended boiling time: 35 minutes

  • Once the chickpeas are settled and cooled down to room temperature, we introduce them into a hermetic receptacle where we will leave them during all the night, in order to help the germinating process while the particle fermentation begins. It is required approximately 72 hours to get the optimal fermentations.

PEANUTS

Peanut is a legume whose grains are very useful and valued for human consumption. Its size comes from 18 mm up to 20 mm, and it is a product prone to fall ill if it is not of the best quality, so it is very important to get a product with human consumption quality, like the one offered by our company, in order to avoid it to become indigestible for carps.

  • Put the peanuts to soak in a receptacle during all the night. The peanuts will soften due to the re-moisturizing.

    Recommended soaking time: 24 hours

  • Next, we add some more water (just a few) into the one left in the receptacle and then we pour it all into a pot to start the boiling process, which depends of the sort of receptacle.

Recommended boiling time: 15 -20 minutes

  • It is quite usual to introduce different flavours and artificial colours with this product

LUPINS

TIGERNUTS TRADERS – Particles: Lupins

Lupins are very known in all the Old World, and we are talking about a very useful grain, depending of the situation. It is perfect to bait lakes and very valid to use as a hook bait. After being soaking for some time its natural sour flavour disappears.

  • Put the lupins to soak in a receptacle during all the night. The lupins will soften due to their re-moisturizing.

    Recommended soaking time: 24 hours

  • Next, we add some more water (just a few) into the one left in the receptacle and then we pour it all into a pot to start the boiling process, which depends of the sort of receptacle.

    Recommended boiling time: 30 minutes

  • Once the lupins are settled and cooled down to room temperature, we introduce them into a hermetic receptacle where we will leave them during all the night, in order to help the germinating process while the particle fermentation begins. It is required approximately 48 hours to get the optimal fermentation.

MAPPLE PEAS

TIGERNUTS TRADERS – Particles: Maple Peas

Just like the maize or the chickpeas, maple peas make an instant bait. One of the most usual mistakes is to use too many grains for fishing, which limites the catches. Probably this is the reason why the maple peas have been forgotten by the anglers, but even like this, they are still an excellent grain. Its size is about 7mm diameter.

  • Put the maple peas to soak in a receptacle during all the night. The peas will soften due to their re-moisturizing.

    Recommended soaking time: 12 hours

  • Next, we add some more water (just a few) into the one left in the receptacle and then we pour it all into a pot to start the boiling process, which depends of the sort of receptacle.

    Recommended boiling time: 30 minutes

  • Once the maple peas are settled and cooled down to room temperature, we introduce them into a hermetic receptacle where we will leave them during all the night, in order to help the germinating process while the particle fermentation begins. It is required approximately 48 hours to get the optimal fermentation.
